CLUTCH AND PLUS PT2

OK BLOG BUNNIES!

I am back and here to introduce to you one of my newest creations. If you are and active follower of my blog you would know that last year I customised an off white vintage clutch. Which you can see on the left side of this sites page.....

So when I got this very UglAy black purse from an unidentified friend of mine I didn't want to disrespect her by throwing it out or what the average joe would do regift it. But then I was hit with a thought!

Well i do have a few black purses but I don't own too many clutches...

hmmmmm How can I transform this busted ass purse to a cute stylish clutch?
So I cut the purse apart , cut the arm strap...and started to work my vision into real life...

MY MOMMY LOVED MY MAKEUP THIS DAY, I LIKED IT AS WELL

SOOOO here is a close up guys!
I really love it , my 1st black clutch by yours truly!!!!
The fabric you see in the front of the clutch is a mesh beaded sample i found in my moms factory of fabrics ( her walk in closet). I was going to use it for a dress design but my brainstorming told me to put it on the clutch. What I love about this clutch is that it fits in my palms with no fuss or discomfort annddd I can fit a damn blazer in it ( folded nicely inside of coarse lol).
It's crazy how far a needle and thread and a glue gun can take you.
To see what I first started , a purse I thought was butt ass...now is one of my favorite carrying accesories!
So I know many of us recieved a gift we wished to never gotten, but some times things that is seen as trash can turn into your own personal cherished treasure!
Trust me on this one
YOUUU CAN DO IT LOL!
So enjoy ur friday blog babies :-)

MAVEN MILITARY

LOOK #1 CHIC MILITARY

One thing about having experience in the sales field is knowing staple pieces that never seems to leave fashion. In both and women apparel I have noticed that certain military inspired pieces is are must have. Whether its tailored cargo pants or the military patched blazer , some utilitarian garments seems to be spotted whatever fashion trend is going on. So i decided to share with you guys what are my top 3 must haves in military inspired clothing and accessories. All these clothing are my clothing and I am not or asked to be a spokes/sales lady for any of these brands I am show casing.

MILITARY INSPIRED OLIVE CARGO MINI SKIRT
--------------------------------------------
By Union Bay
I owned this skirt since I was 17 years old. Ten years later I am still smitten by the pop out pockets and draw string waist that makes this military motif look come together. To soften this army look you can always add creams and neutral colors. Here I added one of my favorite vintage blazers by Victoria March, with a semi mesh off white shirt by Reba. Keep it simple with the accessories, I added my double leather off white strap bracelet and a gold tone and light olive beaded necklace. Lastly I added my new snake skin mini clutch (gift) with my sporty strappy off white sandals by Qupid. And some simple gold hoops from H&M.

I stand by this skirt and know it will look great even if your not hip to the current trends. Also remember that a white tank or T-shirt can make this look just as major. Experiment with what you already have and put your own twist to this look.

LOOK #2 MILITARY AVIATOR'S

So most of my loyal blog babies know how addicted I am to glasses , frames, blockers. But just like clothing has its key pieces to have, glasses are no different.Once again having an experience hand in merchandising and sales I know one pair of frames that never goes out of fashion. The classic Aviator glasses is a military inspired accessory. For those of you who had no idea where this unique frame shape originated from....

-
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

AVIATORS are classic frames that both men and women should have in there glasses collection. Not sure what frames fit your face? I haven't seen a face that the aviator frame didn't fit. Don't forget aviator glasses comes in many different sizes. If these shades look to big it's because I wanted them that way. These are Real men military aviator glasses I got not to long ago at my favorite vintage spot in Queens New York.
For my outfit I added my khaki mini shoulder sack from H&M, my cropped white tough chic blazer by Necessary Objects. military/nautical inspired stripped top by F*A*N*G (over ten years old). And my second pair of G-unit women's jeans...and yes I made these skinny fit too :-)

khaki suede sling back heels by house of derion..

LOOK 3 MILITARY DENIM

Yes I love denim no matter the season or trend....

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------My addiction to denim was unmatched to my addiction to the Brand ECKO RED by marc ecko many years back. Although my groupie love has subsided I am left with my many pieces from Ecko red to work with. One of my fav outfits I purchased in 2006 was this military inspired denim two piece. What I love about this outfit is that both pieces are easily matched with other garments in my closet. And although this outfit is 4 years old it seems to still work with my tough girlie girl style. Which shows if you take care of your cloths you won't regret your spending or giving it away in the long run. Denim is classic and will never leave no matter what trend has taken place. Find a tailored denim jacket or blazer that fits your style. Keep the blazer or jackets details simple. The badges on my jacket are removable so if I grow tired of those nick knacks I can always take them off. I was lucky to find a matching long Capri pants that goes with my military jacket. Now a days you can find alternate brands that make the same washed denim look as other brands. If your not into wearing denim from head to toe you can always wear your jacket with a fabric skirt, pants, legging! Remember these looks are what I would wear. You can always put your own twist to anything you see up here.
This outfit I added my low slung olive fold over sack from H&M, fitted stripped top by h&m. Strap suede heels by forever21. Pink watch by eckored...

Master your military look by knowing what key pieces you can add or just keep in your wardrobe. Also take great care of your key pieces and they will stand the test of time just as my cloths have. And don't be afraid to add a pop of color to your clothing whether its through your accessories, makeup, or nail polish.trust me it'll make this look less serious and Lil more sultry.

I hope you guys enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed making them for you... I missed you guys soooo much!! I will be back before you know it...Till then have a great weekend Blog Bunnies!

MCQUEEN 2010

MCQUEEN IS A BEAST WHEN IT COMES TO HIS STRATEGIC INFAMOUS DESIGNS. I HIT UP ONE OF MY FAVORITE SITES MEN.STYLE.COM ( FOR GQ) AND DECIDED TO GET MY ROUND OF MOUTH WATERING IMAGES THAT MCQUEEN CREATED.
This here are the few designs I feel in love with , but please check out this entire 2010 collection. You will be far from disappointed. And if your a true fan of his work you will recognise some of these pieces in a certain women's collection he made prior. And for him to switch it up and make it intertwine for his men's collection is super dope.

enjoy the images

I'M SO SQUARE....

SICK
Although this show is 2 years old the duo called Dsquared always seem to have such a stylish New York approach to there ready to wear collections. And when I say New York I mean Manhattan, the city of lights. You can go Uptown or down to my fave spots in Soho to the flamboyant side of the village and see alot of people dressed just like these stone faced models. This effortless , random , well put together, layered, street chic collection should be in my closet! What disappoints me about this brand in general is their OUTRAGEOUS prices and their very small selection they have on the dsquared website. I have yet to find one of there old or current super fitted yummy colored leather jackets. IDK after seeing a short sleeved cotton button up top for over $500 bucks I gave up on my search, shiiii wouldn't you?
Fuck it...
I'll just skip my ass on down to the Louis V store, where the insane prices are more then expected LOL!
